Constantines The Constantines were already massive in Canada way before they ever wandered into the Sub Pop stables. Their self titled Debut album originally was only available in Canada and very nearly broke the record for the longest charting album in Canadian campus radio history. The Constantines second album, Shine A Light, with the help of their new Label Sub Pop Records helped launch The Constantines career to international super stardom, Never heard of them?... shame on you. You have now ;)

Alpine Static Well If the electric guitar could be a ride I would hop aboard the highest, fastest, most psychedelic roller coaster you have ever been on... with a harley davidson welded on the front somewhere. Tune in Turn on and chill out to Kinski, enjoy the ride.

The Woods Apparently in 2006 for no reason at all Sleater Kinney announced that they would not be recording any more studio albums or embarking on any more tours, which is a shame because as far as all girl Punk/indie/pop bands go they were among the best and longest lived. Entertain is taken from their seventh and final studio album The woods released on Sub Pop in 2005.

Dying Is Your Latest Fashion Escape The Fate may at first seem like a mediocre emo screamo hardcore band, but if you listen you will be surprised to find your self tapping your feet, slowly itching the volume until your speakers (or your ears) can't take anymore. Situations is taken from their latest CD, Dying Is Your Latest Fashion which despite the title (which is a bit cheesy) is actually quite a good album.

III Ghost Tigers Rise I have never really had an ear for Creepy Rock 'n' Roll but for Tiger Army I have to make an exception, They make me want to turn up my collar on my Leather jacket, snarl my lip Light a fag and shake my hips when I listen to their music (much to the amusement of my 5 year old) and Ghostfire is by far my favorite track from the album, III Ghost Tigers Rise. I recommend this album whole heartedly to anyone who fancies exploring the realms of good honest Rock 'n' Roll enjoy.

Revolutions Per Minute This Track is taken from the 2003 album revolutions per minute Rise Against's last album on Fat Wreck Chords. The band released one album on Dreamworks Records in 2004, Siren Song of the Counter Culture (Which is arguably their finest release) before Dreamworks were absorbed by Universal and Rise Against found themselves on Geffen Records a Universal Music Group subsidiary. I know we all say this but Rise Against's earlier albums packed a lot more kick and had a lot more to say than the big money higly polished albums like their latest offering The Sufferer And The Witness.

Resolve Lagwagon got their name from a van they used to use on tour. They have released so far nine albums on Fat Wreck Chords. This track is taken from their 2005 LP Resolve which was inspired by the passing of former Lagwagon drummer Derrick. You can imagine that if you crossed Sonic Youth with Nirvana (in their Bleach days) Lagwagon is kind of what you would get.

Dead FM Strike Anywhere are a political, punk, rock band charged with melodic undertones similar to Rise Against and have probably received the most attention for their music for appearing in three Tony Hawks games. This track is taken from their latest album Dead FM which is currently available on Fat Wreck Chords. enjoy

Arise My mate Will bought the AMEBIX album Arise origionaly in 1985, then I was the tender age of seventeen, young and angry and impresionable, and he gave me a tape with this track on it and a few others Subhumans - religious wars, Broken Bones - Decapitated, and The Fits - Peace And Quiet are the ones that spring to mind, The AMEBIX stood out because they were the first of their kind fusing Metal, Punk and someting much darker. Amebix were the first UK signing for Alternative Tentacles and The album Arise has since been re-released back in 1995 which includes some bonus bootlegs well worth a listen.
